DevOps Engineer (On-Call/Hybrid) - Linux/AWS/Docker/Terraform/Ansible/Git

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; hybrid schedule with rotating 24/7 on-call support

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Deploy applications and distributed web applications.
• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain complex software and technology tools.
• Manage network servers and monitor systems to maintain required performance levels.
• Provision virtual machines and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot system issues, error conditions, and outages.
• Participate in a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support, approximately one week every three to four weeks.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of software development or engineering experience, including installation, integration, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Required technical skills: Linux, AWS, MASH, virtual machines, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose, Git, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience deploying distributed web applications and provisioning virtual machines.

Nice to have

• Python scripting and development.
• NiFi or Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration.
• Java/Spring Boot troubleshooting, HAProxy, or MongoDB experience.
