Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve client technical challenges.
• Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and contract deliverables.
• Track project progress against established scopes and schedules, escalating risks to project managers.
• Prepare clear written communications and participate in client and team meetings.
• Present design projects to clients and the public when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Approximately 3–7 years of experience with water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, treatment, collection and distribution systems, and related water-resources facilities.
• Engineer-In-Training certification.
• Knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles and water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience producing design plans and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Experience with Excel, Word, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
