Assurance Manager (Not For Profit)

Location: Southfield, Michigan, USA; compensation is also listed for Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Salary: $101,300–$139,690 annually in Southfield; $90,000–$133,040 annually in Milwaukee.

What you will do

• Deliver assurance and consulting services to industry-specific, not-for-profit clients.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Test internal controls, assess deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Manage fieldwork, engagement staffing, billing, collections, quality, and timely delivery.
• Provide financial statement guidance, business recommendations, and analytical insights.
• Mentor and coach team members while supporting their technical and professional development.

Requirements

• Four-year degree.
• CPA certification.
• At least five years of professional experience.
• Experience providing financial statement auditing services in a professional services firm.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide client service, communicate effectively, and maintain ethical and quality standards.
• Strong software and Microsoft Suite skills.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• Experience working with not-for-profit clients.
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
