Assurance Manager - Nonprofit

Location: Tampa, United States; willingness to travel 25% of the year depending on client needs.

Salary: $89,800–$170,500 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
• Assess engagement risks and design, communicate, and monitor audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, and monitor productivity and work-plan adherence.
• Review work products, evaluate performance, coach associates, and support professional development and training.
• Maintain year-round client relationships, anticipate concerns, address issues, and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Manage project profitability and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA certification.
• 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring associates, and directing staff on multiple engagements.
• Knowledge of audit services, GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
