Assurance Manager - Insurance

Location: Chicago, United States; willingness to travel up to 25% of the year may be required depending on clients.

Salary: $89,800–$170,500 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
• Assess risk and design, communicate, and oversee audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, and monitor productivity and adherence to work plans.
• Review work products, provide performance feedback, coach staff, and support professional development.
• Maintain client relationships, address concerns, identify performance improvements, and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior leadership.
• Manage project profitability and contribute to client relationship and business development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
• CPA or CA certification.
• At least 5 years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
