Sample Preparation Technician

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin, USA; candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

What you will do

• Perform sample preparation activities including labeling, transferring, liquid nitrogen use, milling, blending, weighing, and sample disposal.
• Ensure sample homogeneity and communicate sample information accurately.
• Identify discrepancies, assist with problem solving, and handle internal customer inquiries.
• Coordinate with customer service staff to resolve client and sample issues.
• Learn procedures involving larger equipment, perform basic maintenance and repairs, and place work orders.
• Contribute improvement ideas and cross-train in food and dietary supplement sample preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computers and good documentation skills.
• Customer service, communication, confidentiality, accuracy, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to learn new tasks, think critically, and solve problems efficiently.
• Regular onsite attendance and residence within commuting distance of the Madison, Wisconsin laboratory are required.
