Lab Supervisor - Contaminants

Location: Madison, WI, USA; must reside within a commutable distance to the Madison laboratory.

Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison operates an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory specializing in food chemistry testing for infant formula, nutritional products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, botanicals, vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides, and shelf-life studies.

What you will do

• Supervise scientific and operational staff working on method development, validation, and sample analysis projects.
• Schedule staff, assign resources, and coordinate laboratory equipment and workspace needs.
• Review analytical data, manage data and tables, and prepare technical reports for clients.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory guidelines, GMP, GLP, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Develop training plans, recruit staff, conduct performance evaluations, and handle progressive discipline.
• Identify process improvements, implement action plans, and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in science or an equivalent qualification; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least 2 years of related experience and 1 year of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory agency guidelines and laboratory operations.
• Understanding of laboratory technology, computers, and software systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the Madison, WI laboratory.
