Wireless Hardware Expert (Bluetooth / WLAN / UWB)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work environment with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.

Annual gross base salary: RON 202,500–297,000.

What you will do

• Design and integrate Bluetooth, WLAN/Wi-Fi, and UWB wireless hardware systems across multiple automotive projects.
• Contribute to hardware architecture, RF front-end decisions, digital interfaces, and system-level integration.
• Collaborate with RF, software, testing, quality, qualification, and homologation specialists to ensure end-to-end performance.
• Debug, validate, measure, and analyze wireless systems in laboratory and real-world automotive environments.
• Support design transfer into production, focusing on robustness, manufacturability, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to RFQ activities through technical evaluation, feasibility analysis, and concept definition.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in wireless hardware development, preferably in automotive, IoT, or consumer electronics.
• Hands-on experience with Bluetooth, WLAN/Wi-Fi, and/or UWB.
• Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics, RF hardware fundamentals, system integration, and digital interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, or USB.
• Understanding of wireless software architecture, hardware/software interaction, coexistence, interference, and system-level behavior.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing wireless performance and developing methods, tools, and approaches for validation.
• Understanding of the full product lifecycle, including technology development, product development, qualification, validation, production, and homologation.
• Experience with RF measurements, debugging, issue analysis, technical specifications, standards, and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional domain experts using a structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented engineering approach.
• Working knowledge of English, willingness to travel when necessary, and a valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive environments and constraints, including interference and system integration.
• Exposure to RFQ processes, including technical evaluation and feasibility input.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and measurement tools.
• Experience collaborating with teams across different geographies.
