Wireless Hardware Expert (Bluetooth / WLAN / UWB) (Automotive)

Location: Bucharest, Romania. Hybrid work environment with most office-based roles onsite three days a week; willingness to travel may be required.

Annual gross base salary: 202,500–297,000.

What you will do

• Design and integrate Bluetooth, WLAN, and UWB wireless hardware systems across multiple automotive projects.
• Contribute to hardware architecture, RF front-end decisions, digital interfaces, and hardware/software integration.
• Debug, validate, measure, and analyze wireless system performance in laboratory and real-world automotive environments.
• Collaborate with RF, software, testing, quality, qualification, and homologation specialists to ensure end-to-end system performance.
• Support design transfer into production, focusing on robustness and manufacturability.
• Provide technical input to RFQ activities, including feasibility analysis and concept definition.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in wireless hardware development, preferably in automotive, IoT, or consumer electronics.
• Hands-on experience with Bluetooth, WLAN/Wi-Fi, and/or UWB.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, RF hardware fundamentals, system integration, digital interfaces, and hardware/software interaction.
• Experience with RF measurements, debugging, issue analysis, wireless performance optimization, and validation methods.
• Working knowledge of English, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel if necessary; successful completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen is required.

Nice to have

• Automotive wireless systems experience and understanding of interference, coexistence, and integration constraints.
• Experience with RFQ processes, technical specifications, standards, and documentation.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and measurement tools.
• Experience collaborating with teams across multiple geographies.
