Senior Project Manager / Professional Engineer, Highway Design

Location: Duluth, Minnesota, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: $108,000–$151,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead highway design and transportation infrastructure projects from planning and preliminary engineering through final design.
• Establish work plans and staffing, coordinate engineers, technicians, and production staff, and supervise technical development.
• Prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and project communications.
• Manage project goals, schedules, budgets, profitability, risk, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct client, internal, and governing-agency meetings and reviews.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships, tracking opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation or highway design.
• Professional Engineer registration in the State of Minnesota.
• At least 10 years of highway design, plan development, or related transportation experience.
• At least 3 years managing multidisciplinary projects through design and construction coordination.
• Demonstrated business development experience and a track record of securing new project opportunities.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; hirify.global does not sponsor employment visas. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with multidisciplinary highway, traffic, bridge, and water resources engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of MNDOT design and plan standards.
• Professional registration in two or more states.
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced engineering professionals.
