Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

  • Review and restructure design engineering bills of materials using operations coding and parts grouping to create assembly bills of materials.
  • Develop work instructions, assembly documentation, and preliminary line balances for new products.
  • Improve and maintain production documentation for assembly plants and facilities.
  • Determine assembly fixtures, plant layouts, workstations, manpower requirements, and line-balancing data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements focused on safety, quality, productivity, and production output.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines, business support teams, and external suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • One to two or more years of relevant experience.
  • Engineering calculations, investigations, technical reporting, and project support skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, pattern-recognition, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including data management and chart creation.
  • Ability to work routine shifts and meet high-volume, variable production demands; some positions may require eligibility as a U.S. Person under ITAR or EAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing or the automotive industry.
  • Experience with automotive assembly operations and Lean or Six Sigma tools.
