Senior Process Engineer (Welding)

Location: hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States; full-time onsite role.

Salary: $82,900.00–$134,300.00 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Extract, process, and analyze current and historical data to develop labor estimates for proposals.
• Compare legacy and new product designs, review bills of material, and identify component and labor differences.
• Document assumptions, methodology, and labor estimates in basis-of-estimate documents.
• Develop production proposals and manufacturing plans for new programs and contract extensions.
• Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy-time performance.
• Identify safety, quality, and productivity improvements using lean and Six Sigma methods, support launches, and present estimates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in costing, estimating, industrial engineering, or a related area.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, coatings, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, attention-to-detail, and data-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and large quantities of data.

Nice to have

• Experience in heavy equipment or automobile manufacturing and automotive assembly operations.
• Experience applying lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience with JD Edwards, AS400 systems, Showcase, Propricer, or related software.
• Experience with learning and break-in production curves using CURV1, BREAK, or similar software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel experience, including data management and chart creation.
