Manufacturing Engineer Associate

Salary: $57,600–$90,400 per year

What you will do

• Provide hands-on engineering support to assembly operations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain assembly work instructions for safe, consistent, and efficient production.
• Track and analyze downtime to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve equipment and line performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, production supervisors, and production employees to improve efficiency, throughput, and line performance.
• Evaluate assembly processes, work content, tooling, and line resources, including the design and implementation of fixtures and other manufacturing solutions.
• Support engineering changes, new product introductions, process changes, documentation, layouts, drawings, reports, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production employees, supervisors, and engineering teams.
• Ability to work in a production environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to assembly operations, manufacturing processes, or production support.
• Experience with manufacturing work instructions, downtime tracking, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with CAD software and interpreting engineering drawings.
