What you will do

  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, eliminate waste, and improve cycle time, throughput, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Partner with production supervisors, operators, and manufacturing engineering teams to execute improvement events and implement sustainable facility standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations, investigations, project work, cost studies, time estimates, and technical proposals.
  • Analyze workspace requirements, workflows, and equipment layouts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
  • Review engineering changes and recommend fixture and tooling designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of professional experience.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, waste elimination, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience using data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production supervisors, operators, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, extended standing, physical movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds; required PPE must be worn.

Nice to have

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience leading or supporting Kaizen events.
  • Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing.
