Complex Claim Director (Employment Practices Liability)

Location: New York, NY; primarily in the office

Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Handle complex Employment Practices Liability claims from inception through conclusion for privately held and not-for-profit insureds.
• Handle Directors & Officers Liability claims when needed.
• Make coverage determinations, investigate losses, evaluate exposures, and project potential outcomes.
• Prepare case presentations, set judgmental reserves, and develop and implement resolution strategies.
• Work with defense counsel and collaborate with underwriting.
• Deliver responsive, fair, and professional service to customers and distribution partners.

Requirements

• At least six years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation, or related work.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of litigation and arbitration processes.
• Juris Doctor preferred.
• Ability to work primarily in the New York office.
