Bridge Engineer

Location: Phoenix or Tucson, Arizona, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge designs.
• Develop designs for steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, and cable bridges, box culverts, and interchanges.
• Support highway and railway projects through structural design calculations and geometric layouts.
• Develop structural details and quantities using specialized bridge engineering software.
• Manage and support junior staff while collaborating with project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; a Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) required.
• Previous experience in bridge design and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and bridge design or structural analysis software, including LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, and related tools.
• Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Microsoft Office, prestressed concrete design, and bridge design applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with precast concrete bridges, steel bridges, bridge rehabilitation and widening, box culverts, retaining walls, or bridge inspection.
• Knowledge of ADINA, LUSAS, Bentley OpenBridge Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, Autodesk InfraWorks, and Civil 3D.
