Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT or PE)

What you will do

• Perform structural design and analysis for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Review shop drawings and construction submittals for compliance with design intent.
• Evaluate existing structures, including precast and segmental systems.
• Support roadway design and traffic control plan preparation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and agencies while mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant structural or bridge design experience.
• Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain one.
• Working knowledge of CADD software, including MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with structural analysis tools such as STAAD.Pro or similar software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering drawings and design standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, or similar transportation agencies.
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
• Experience in bridge rehabilitation and inspection support.
