Group Manager, Product Design - Back Office (SaaS)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $185,300–$297,400 USD annually; eligible locations may receive a higher range of $198,200–$297,400 USD. Annual bonus and equity opportunities are also available.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and mentor a product design team of approximately 3–10 designers.
• Drive complex design initiatives from product vision and strategy through execution and delivery.
• Contribute user insights, design recommendations, and data-driven perspectives to product strategy and roadmap planning.
• Remain hands-on with user research, interface design, interaction design, prototyping, user journeys, personas, and UX measurement.
• Establish lean design standards and processes that balance quality, speed, consistency, and team capability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and stakeholders to deliver accessible and inclusive user experiences.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product design experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or a similarly complex technology environment.
• Experience managing a product design team of approximately 3–10 designers or leading multiple design groups.
• Strong capabilities in user research, interaction and interface design, prototyping, UX strategy, and design systems or processes.
• Experience leading complex projects from strategic vision through detailed execution and evaluating outcomes with quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools such as Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, or comparable technologies.
• Strong people leadership, communication, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, accessibility awareness, and asynchronous collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about emerging AI-enabled design practices and experience integrating generative exploration or rapid prototyping into design workflows.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
