Head of Design

Location: Palo Alto, United States; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office required. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area or ready to be. All I-9 eligible candidates will be considered.

Salary: $225,000–$260,000+ annual base salary, with bonus and equity eligibility.

hirify.global builds an operating system for private markets, enabling wealth advisors and their clients to access, transact in, and manage private-market investments.

What you will do

• Own product design across the advisor and GP experience, from research and framing through prototyping and handoff.
• Build and strengthen the design function, including hiring, leveling, coaching, growth paths, feedback, reviews, and 1:1s.
• Set the design quality bar through usability gates, definitions of done, and continuous monitoring of friction in the live product.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership on roadmap decisions, tradeoffs, product strategy, and client outcomes.
• Develop the design system and maintain brand expression across the marketing site, campaigns, launches, and client-facing materials.
• Use fast, evidence-led validation and AI-assisted tools for research synthesis, exploration, and interactive prototyping.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, including several years leading and managing designers.
• Experience building or substantially growing a design function through hiring, leveling, coaching, and practice development.
• Direct experience with private markets or a sufficiently complex institutional finance domain, including fund structures, capital calls, distributions, and portfolio reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Figma and Magic Patterns, with the ability to build prototypes in Claude when code is the fastest path.
• Strong systems thinking, product and brand design capability, communication, storytelling, and collaboration with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and clients.
• Must be based in the Bay Area or ready to work from the Palo Alto office three days per week; I-9 eligibility is required.
