Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: West Union, Iowa, United States; onsite at the West Union Plant

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 base annually, negotiable based on experience, plus a monthly productivity and profit bonus.

What you will do

• Review internal quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop permanent corrective solutions.
• Observe manufacturing operations on the plant floor and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Organize and lead cross-functional Kaizen events focused on workstation organization, workflow, and throughput.
• Plan and implement Safety, Quality, and Production improvements with plant teams and management.
• Lead 6S projects, coach employees on Kaizen and lean manufacturing practices, and standardize processes.
• Implement error-proofing methods and report to the facility Quality Manager while collaborating with the corporate Continuous Improvement Lead.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on quality.
• Four-year technical degree in an electrical, electronics, or mechanically oriented curriculum.
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, investigating problems, and communicating process improvements.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use ladders, forklifts, hand and power tools, and electrical testing equipment; able to lift 35–50 pounds independently.
