Manager, Continuous Improvement (Manufacturing)

Location: Redmond, OR, United States; primarily office-based with regular visits to manufacturing areas, occasional travel to additional facilities or vendor locations, and required PPE in production areas.

What you will do

• Lead site-level continuous improvement initiatives to improve process reliability, reduce waste, increase productivity, and strengthen customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate improvement events, performance dialogues, hands-on training, and change management activities.
• Partner with operations leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, create action plans, and sustain performance gains.
• Conduct on-site observations, identify non-standard conditions, recommend corrective actions, and support operational problem-solving.
• Develop and maintain standardized work, operating procedures, performance measures, reports, and presentations covering operational trends and cost savings.
• Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate direct reports; benchmark industry practices and apply relevant methods to site operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of manufacturing or operations experience including support for or leadership of continuous improvement initiatives; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze operational data for decision-making and problem-solving.
• Ability to facilitate improvement events, on-site observations, and performance discussions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging staff at all levels.
• Strong organization and project management skills with commitment to execution and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently during manufacturing site visits and lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally; the role is safety-sensitive and requires adherence to safety policies.
