Continuous Improvement Technician (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: Del Rey, California, USA; full-time onsite role. Occasional regional travel and off-hours or weekend work may be required to support 24/7 operations during peak season.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Maintain a consistent production-floor presence to observe operations, support teams, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coach frontline employees and operations teams in Lean tools, standard work, and daily management practices.
• Lead or support improvement initiatives using PDCA, 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, and other structured problem-solving methods.
• Track KPIs, collect data, analyze trends, and report opportunities related to OEE, waste, downtime, and productivity.
• Use process mapping and flow analysis to improve forklift movement, material flow, and layout efficiency.
• Maintain process documentation and reinforce completed improvements through follow-up and coaching.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, operations support, production supervision, maintenance coordination, or a related industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, PDCA, 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, and visual management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing data-tracking systems.
• Ability to work consistently on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support a 24/7 operation.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering, operations management, supply chain, business, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with TPM, reliability improvement, production efficiency, OEE, downtime tracking, waste analysis, or productivity reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, MES, CMMS, SAP, or other manufacturing systems.
• Food and beverage manufacturing experience.
