Pharmacy Technician I

Location: Virtual full-time role for candidates within a reasonable commuting distance of Lake Mary, Florida; required onsite training sessions. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. ET. Training schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. ET, onsite.

What you will do

• Interpret and enter basic prescriptions and verify member information for pharmacists.
• Process prior authorization requests from physician offices and communicate determinations.
• Educate members and respond to physician, sales team, and member inquiries about prescription benefits, formularies, and assistance programs.
• Troubleshoot adjudication issues and resolve grievance and appeal cases.
• Generate reports on rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other topics.
• Maintain records for prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of pharmacy experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current state pharmacy technician license or certification is required, including national certification where applicable.
• Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location unless a legally required accommodation applies.

• Data entry experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience.
