Manager, Pharmacy Technicians

Location: Fully remote within the United States; occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $70,100–$126,200 per year.

What you will do

• Manage prior authorization triage and departmental workflows while supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Help build and lead a new Medication Management team supporting the Mission Simplify Project.
• Develop, monitor, and improve prior authorization policies, procedures, staffing levels, and operational controls.
• Oversee pharmacy systems handling Medicaid prior authorization and Medicare Part D coverage determination requests.
• Coordinate escalated complaints and inquiries with internal departments, providers, and pharmacies.
• Review performance reports, audit findings, provider notifications, and quality control checks.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a mail-order prescription facility, hospital pharmacy, or retail pharmacy.
• 1+ years of combined lead or supervisory and customer service experience.
• Prior medical claims experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Current state Pharmacy Technician license, or the ability to obtain one after hire.
• Comfort presenting to leadership; National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is preferred.
