Cryogenic Trailer Painter

Location: Lafayette, IN Manufacturing Facility; onsite work

Pay rate: $23.00–$33.00 per hour

hirify.global provides the manufacturing environment for cryogenic trailer painting and refinishing operations.

What you will do

• Prepare trailer and component surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, priming, and using blast media.
• Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
• Apply primers, sealers, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment.
• Inspect finishes, repair scratches, dents, and corrosion, and complete touch-ups.
• Maintain spray booths, painting equipment, tools, and an organized work area.
• Record products sprayed and quantities used, document completed work, and communicate job status to technicians and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• Experience in automotive painting, refinishing, collision repair, or a similar body shop or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, finishing processes, spray guns, sanding tools, and refinishing equipment.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator and follow PPE, chemical handling, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to meet quality standards, and the ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Certification in automotive refinishing or collision repair.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Fork truck experience.
