Laboratory Technician I - Eurofins Built Environment Testing East - Cary, NC

Location: Cary, NC, USA; full-time onsite work, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with occasional weekend work. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Cary.

Pay rate: $18/hr

What you will do

• Perform sample preparation for bulk, AHERA, soil, and dust samples.
• Work in the TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) department on indoor air quality testing.
• Log samples and perform equipment calibrations, daily balance checks, thermometer checks, and other basic laboratory activities.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare glassware, laboratory appliances, instruments, and supplies.
• Stock laboratory supplies and assist other laboratory areas as needed.
• Conduct laboratory activities safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school Chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• Good communication, organizational, computer, attention-to-detail, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work reliably as part of a team and perform routine production work.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience handling micropipettes and tweezers.
