Lead Civil Municipal Engineer

Location: Hybrid position based within 40 miles of Brainerd or Baxter, Minnesota, with a minimum of 3–4 days per week in the Brainerd hirify.global office. Travel for team meetings, client consultations, business development, inspections, and occasional overnight visits is required. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Base compensation: $110,000–$135,000, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple municipal civil engineering projects for a variety of clients.
• Manage design and construction-phase services across multiple projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients, agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare project approaches, scopes, budgets, and fees, including coordination of sub-consultants.
• Present proposals, participate in project interviews, select project teams, and support business development.
• Represent hirify.global at agency, municipal, and public meetings while mentoring engineering professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota.
• Established relationships with municipal clients or potential clients throughout Minnesota.
• Experience in project management, proposal management, and client management.
• Ability to scope, budget, coordinate sub-consultants, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience attending and presenting at municipal or public meetings.

Nice to have

• Ten or more years of previous experience.
• Experience managing construction inspection staff.
• Experience with municipal street and utility design and construction.
• Experience managing engineering staff and mentoring junior-level professionals.
