Project Engineer

Location: Hibbing, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $80,000–$119,000 per year. Signing bonus of up to $20,000.

hirify.global is growing its Hibbing team to deliver geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships.
• Lead technical or project-related teams and mentor junior engineering staff.
• Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
• Develop project scopes and engineering reports with professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client and vendor relationships.
• Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards while following health and safety policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering.
• Three or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience.
• Professional Engineer registration or licensure in Minnesota, or the ability to attain it within 6–12 months.
• Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and communicate project budgets, work independently and collaboratively, and travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to periodically lift 50–75 pounds and complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering.
• Experience managing client relationships, vendors, and teams.
