Location: Riverside, California; hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday–Thursday and work-from-home Monday and Friday. The office is currently in San Bernardino and is planned to relocate to Downtown Riverside by October 2026. Travel throughout the LA metro area, occasional overnight travel, and some evening or weekend meetings may be required.
Salary: $115,500–$152,500 per year. The range reflects base pay for candidates with 15–25 years of related experience.

What you will do
- Develop schematic designs, corridor studies, and transportation plans.
- Lead planning, coordination, and monitoring for assigned projects across multiple phases.
- Prepare technical reports, communication materials, proposals, budgets, schedules, and contract documentation.
- Facilitate stakeholder and community engagement through meetings, workshops, open houses, online forums, and focus groups.
- Market planning services, build relationships with clients and agency partners, and identify business development opportunities.
- Conduct on-site assessments and attend project meetings throughout the LA metro area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, urban planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant planning experience and at least 2 years of project management experience.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Experience facilitating public engagement sessions for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of planning principles applied to zoning matters.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company requirements. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- AICP certification.
- Experience with the NEPA process, including Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements.
- Advanced knowledge of data management, ArcGIS, online mapping software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience preparing funding solicitation applications and conceptual project graphics.
