IT Specialist II, Field Services

Location: Parma, Italy; full-time on-site role with regular travel between company locations.

hirify.global operates a network of manufacturing plants and corporate office locations requiring local IT infrastructure and end-user support.

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 on-site support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and standard business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and basic networking issues in office and manufacturing environments.
• Perform break/fix support, device imaging, deployments, upgrades, replacements, and technology refreshes.
• Support conference room technology, shop-floor workstations, shared terminals, printers, AV equipment, phone systems, and CCTV systems.
• Travel between company sites for incident escalations, new site setups, standardization initiatives, and hands-on infrastructure support.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and technical documentation while partnering with centralized IT, Operations, Engineering, and local business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Professional experience in IT deskside support, IT field services, or a similar hands-on technical support role.
• Experience supporting users and technology in manufacturing plants and corporate office environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic networking issues; familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to travel regularly between company locations and work independently across multiple sites.
• Ability to work in active manufacturing environments requiring personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and eye protection.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, networking, or cabling certification.
• Experience with distributed or multi-site environments.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, and structured cabling.
• Exposure to server or hosting environments.
• Knowledge of Operational Technology or industrial control systems.
