Field Application Specialist (Hematology)

Location: Rome area, Italy. Remote worker classification with extensive field presence and more than 90% of working time spent traveling; overnight travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

Gross annual salary: €40,000–50,000, plus target bonus/incentive pay of 10% of base annual salary.

What you will do

• Install and maintain diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.
• Provide frontline technical and scientific support by troubleshooting and resolving customer application issues.
• Train customers, verify system operational performance, and ensure data quality.
• Maintain customer support logs and internal records while delivering a high-quality customer experience.
• Support cross-functional commercial activities, customer contract retention, warranty conversion, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• University degree in a scientific discipline and at least one year of hematology experience.
• Fluent Italian and professional English are required.
• Ability to interact with customers on a detailed scientific basis and fulfill their technical needs.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned geography and occasionally to other areas, including overnight travel.
• Current valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours according to business needs.

Nice to have

• Chemical chemistry and immunoassay experience.
• A third European language.
