Senior Strategic Advisor, Value Based Care (Healthcare)

Location: Remote Flex - North Carolina; virtual work with a few in-office visits each year. The position may be available to candidates outside the local area and in states listed on the posting; onsite expectations are discussed during the interview process.

Salary: $89,174.00 - $142,679.00 annually, plus an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement healthcare redesign, provider reimbursement, and partnership strategies that support growth, manage costs, and improve member outcomes.
• Support the enhancement and maintenance of healthcare products and market offer components.
• Conduct strategic planning, complex financial and qualitative analysis, and enterprise-level thought leadership.
• Present strategic concepts, reimbursement rates, provider performance metrics, and impact assessments to internal and external audiences, including senior leadership.
• Coordinate the work portfolio and communicate progress across initiatives.
• Analyze industry, regulatory, technology, and market trends affecting reimbursement, medical expense strategy, and payer-provider dynamics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree where required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field; 7+ years may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Experience applying strategic planning, analysis, reporting, project management, or consulting approaches.
• Ability to collaborate with departments across an enterprise and communicate with senior-level stakeholders.
• Remote Flex work requires virtual work with a few in-office visits each year.

Nice to have

• Experience with value-based care models, including ACOs, bundled payments, shared savings, and quality-based incentive programs.
• Knowledge of cost-of-care drivers, care coordination, HEDIS, Stars, CMS quality measures, and performance metrics.
• Ability to translate clinical, financial, and operational data into quality and total-cost-of-care improvements.
• Experience partnering with providers, clinical teams, payers, or operational stakeholders on value-based contracts.
• Familiarity with population health tools, risk stratification, patient engagement, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
