Commodity Manager (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Manage €25–50M-equivalent spend with outsource services suppliers in the Central European Area across labor, outside services, buffer, and fleet categories.
• Lead supplier selection, assessment, performance reviews, relationship management, root-cause analysis, and improvement plans.
• Develop and implement spend management strategies, including supplier rationalization, total-cost-of-ownership negotiations, supplier diversity, and continuous improvement.
• Lead negotiations and contract completion with strategic and preferred services suppliers.
• Coordinate multi-site, cross-functional teams and collaborate with engineering on technology roadmaps.
• Monitor commodity markets, supply chain capacity, technologies, customer requirements, and supply-and-demand challenges while supporting cash management strategies.

Requirements

• Fluent English required; German proficiency is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, supply chain management, operations management, economics, or a technical discipline, or an MBA with procurement experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive services or indirect category management experience, including at least 5 years in supplier evaluation, purchasing, sourcing, or related areas.
• Strong forecasting, negotiation, contract management, risk mitigation, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Project; willingness to travel and flexibility with working hours.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of corporate supply chain, procurement, quality, operations, or process management experience.
• Strategic planning and change management experience.
• APICS, ISM, or equivalent local certification.
• Experience with ERP systems.
