Automotive Electrical Technician (Automotive)

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair electrical defects throughout the NGDV.
• Inspect and repair supplier wiring harnesses.
• Remove and assemble components for vehicle assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Read wiring schematics and follow standard work instructions through the MES system.
• Use DVMs, torque tools, DC tools, and hand tools for assembly, testing, and repairs.
• Trace defects to their point of origin and support preventative actions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or related experience in automotive electrical systems.
• Experience using basic hand tools and electrical tools.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work routine shift hours, including the 3rd shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing operations experience.
• ASE Certification.
• Battery electric vehicle experience.
• No safety or quality incidents within the previous 12 months.
• Willingness to learn to operate and move a truck on company property.
