TL;DR
End of Line Technician (Automotive Manufacturing): Assembling and testing final vehicle components and subassemblies with an accent on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting. Focus on diagnosing battery electrical systems, reviewing technical diagrams, performing functional validation, and driving corrective actions for production defects.

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

  • Assemble detail parts, components, and subassemblies onto vehicles, including wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbodies.
  • Reinstall removed parts and fasten components using torque specifications, manipulators, tools, and standard work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and battery-related components using electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Conduct functional testing, validation checks, and ongoing quality inspections of assembled systems.
  • Identify defects, trace them to their point of origin, and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with safety procedures and 5S standards.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Advanced computer, math, reading, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established methods and procedures, multitask, and adapt to changing processes.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide guidance and support to peers.
  • Ability to work around high-voltage, high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems and lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • Four years of assembler experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
