Civil Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Remote; candidates must reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, or Texas. hirify.global is currently unable to hire employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico. Base compensation: $125,000–$160,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and construction of water treatment and wastewater treatment projects.
• Develop solutions to complex water and wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other professionals across multiple disciplines.
• Build and strengthen client relationships alongside experienced project managers.
• Scope, budget, and manage drinking water and wastewater facility projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer licensure or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• Experience designing and constructing municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water or wastewater treatment projects.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.
• Authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Eight years of experience designing or managing wastewater treatment or conveyance projects.
• Eight years of experience designing or managing drinking water projects, including treatment, wells, pumphouses, storage, booster stations, and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of regional water and wastewater issues and municipal government clients.
• Experience handling multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and using project management software.
