Senior Regional Production Specialist (Commercial Property E&S Underwriting)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; primarily in the office

Base salary for positions based in Massachusetts: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.

What you will do

• Underwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow the E&S commercial property portfolio.
• Develop broker and portfolio strategies with internal colleagues and wholesale trading partners.
• Review and negotiate manuscript policy wordings and coverage structures.
• Manage a profitable book of new and renewal business across primary, shared, layered, and excess placements.
• Mentor and train junior team members while supporting regional planning, budgeting, and cross-division collaboration.
• Contribute to building a diverse and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in commercial property E&S underwriting.
• Technical proficiency and strong underwriting judgment across the full spectrum of E&S property business.
• Experience underwriting 100%, primary/shared, layered, and excess structures.
• Strong understanding of current market conditions and the ability to make fast decisions, turn around quotes, and manage multiple prospects.
• Ability to help set team direction and maintain a balanced portfolio.
• Willingness to work with regional property leadership peers and take on senior leadership responsibilities.
