Engineer - Manufacturing

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global corporate office in Pella, Iowa, USA. First shift with occasional travel expected.

What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing, product development, and lifecycle/aftermarket teams to improve production quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Apply lean manufacturing and just-in-time principles to reduce waste and support continuous improvement.
• Lead or participate in Kaizen and cross-functional improvement events.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics for assembly and welding processes.
• Design and optimize tooling and fixtures, using digital work instruction tools to improve operator efficiency and safety.
• Manage process changes, BOM updates, and documentation through PLM and ECN systems, while supporting data-driven decisions with ERP, Power BI, and IoT monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, tooling design, technical drawings, continuous improvement methods, and digital work instruction tools.
• Familiarity with assembly, welding, JIT manufacturing, statistical process variation, and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to identify manufacturing and internal customer needs and deliver practical improvements to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Exposure to PLM and ECN systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill, including process changes, BOM updates, and documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI dashboards, or IoT-enabled process monitoring tools.
