Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Mason City Plant, Mason City, Iowa, United States

Base salary: $104,200–$130,200 per year, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead maintenance and reliability activities across the plant to maximize uptime, asset performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance execution, including planning, scheduling, and CMMS discipline.
• Lead the performance and maintenance of critical utilities, including air, steam, water, nitrogen, ammonia, wastewater, and related systems.
• Drive Process Safety Management activities, including mechanical integrity, Management of Change, and participation in process hazard analyses.
• Improve equipment reliability through root cause analysis, failure trend analysis, corrective actions, and reliability strategies.
• Manage budgets, MRO inventory, shutdowns, capital maintenance work, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience and 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, planning, scheduling, CMMS, and asset performance management.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical maintenance, instrumentation, controls, utilities, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration.
• Working knowledge of Process Safety Management and mechanical integrity requirements.
• Ability to lead teams, manage projects, communicate across functions, and support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in food manufacturing or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, advanced reliability practices, Industry 4.0 tools, predictive maintenance, or condition monitoring.
• Professional certification such as CMRP or CRE.
