Senior Highway Project Manager (Highway Engineering)

What you will do

• Provide highway design services for PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and other transportation agencies.
• Design roadway geometrics, models, cross sections, traffic control, signing, pavement markings, utility coordination, and right-of-way plans.
• Coordinate design development, schedules, budgets, quality deliverables, and technical direction for design staff.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and technical and price proposals.
• Build relationships with client technical staff, project managers, leadership, and business development teams.
• Mentor and coach supporting civil design staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; a master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Pennsylvania licensure is preferred.
• 8–12 years of highway engineering experience.
• Experience with PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, or other transportation agencies.
• Familiarity with AASHTO design standards and highway project design.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, and Microsoft Office, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with New Jersey, New York, or other authorities.
• Master’s degree in civil engineering.
