Highway/Civil Engineer (Transportation Infrastructure)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with work from home permitted up to 2 days per week. Approximately 5% travel to project and client sites within Texas. Applicants must be authorized to accept permanent employment in the U.S. with any employer.

What you will do

• Develop and review engineering designs, calculations, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Design highway and street alignments, grading, utility relocation, drainage, pavement markings, signaling, lighting, SWPPP, and ESC plans.
• Prepare traffic control plans using MUTCD and perform quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and shop and working drawing reviews.
• Manage sub-consultants, inspections, project budgets, schedules, quality control, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project progress and deadlines using project planning tools.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior engineers while identifying challenges and developing engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in highway, street, transportation, or civil heavy infrastructure engineering; up to two years may be satisfied by a relevant master’s degree.
• Experience applying AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, AASHTO Guide for Development of Bicycle Facilities, Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, and MUTCD.
• Professional Engineer license for the State of Texas.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoTurns, Corridor design, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Planner, and Bluebeam.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not stated.
