Industrial Electrician (Salt Lake City)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; extensive nationwide travel is required.

Salary: $30–40 per hour

Provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and customer support.

What you will do

• Install conduit, wiring, electrical panels, disconnects, switches, transformers, and motor control components.
• Install and test medium- and high-voltage automation and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical layouts, functionality issues, PLC sensors, and control wiring during field installations.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics while collaborating with the field construction team.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and electrical testing equipment, and assist with insulation, welding, and painting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Proficiency in rigid conduit bending and installation up to 4 inches.
• Knowledge of three-phase motor systems, 480V AC motor control circuits, and the National Electrical Code.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationwide.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in heat, cold, dust, noise, and other varying conditions while using appropriate PPE.
• Must pass pre-employment and regular drug testing, background and driving record checks, with no DUI in the past 5 years; must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Nice to have

• Journeyman license.
• Experience with PLC installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and field problem-solving skills.
