Machinist (O&R) (Aerospace)

STS Aerospace, part of hirify.global, manufactures aerospace components and is seeking a machinist for its Laconia facility.

What you will do

• Study blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequences, and setup requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinders, conventional machines, and other numerical-control equipment.
• Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Calculate and adjust machining parameters, including speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth and angle.
• Monitor machine operation, identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance work, and adjust controls as needed.
• Verify finished parts against specifications and collaborate with engineers, production staff, and programmers to resolve machining or assembly issues.

Requirements

• Two to three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• English proficiency is required to read, write, speak, and understand English in compliance with FAA guidelines.
• FAA safety-sensitive position requiring a background check, drug screening, and quarterly random drug screens.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear regularly during work.
• Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
