Loss Mitigation Specialist

Location: Onsite in West Valley City, Utah, United States; Monday through Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm, with a rotating Saturday every 6–8 weeks

A consumer finance company providing responsible access to credit through personal loans, credit cards, and related products.

What you will do

• Review and analyze consumer accounts to identify loan modification and workout options that mitigate losses.
• Evaluate customer income and expenses, answer incoming calls, and negotiate mutually beneficial repayment arrangements.
• Prepare correspondence and modification documents, audit them for completeness, and process modifications in the servicing system.
• Ensure workout plans comply with company policies, government requirements, and federal and state regulations.
• Use skip tracing tools to locate customers and collect deficiency balances.
• Maintain repossession and transport vendor relationships and assign accounts to approved repossession agents.

Requirements

• Two years of collections experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Call center experience.
• Strong multitasking, phone, negotiation, attention-to-detail, and quality-focus skills.

Nice to have

• Bilingual Spanish communication skills.
