Construction Project Coordinator

Location: Remote-Florida; candidates must be located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, or surrounding locations. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $50–$55 per hour, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support highway project field inspections and oversight across the Florida Panhandle.
• Inspect highway and transportation construction projects for compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document field activities, material sampling and testing, and quantity measurements.
• Assist with preconstruction, progress, and conflict resolution meetings; negotiate and prepare construction change orders.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal personnel.
• Support office production, proposals, budget and schedule estimates, and constructability reviews using AutoCAD or MicroStation when applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong construction experience as a Construction Project Representative or in a related role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions and walk or climb over rough construction-site terrain.
• Ability to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and site observations; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting hirify.global’s Driving Program requirements; U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of experience on FDOT, county, or municipal construction projects.
• Experience with earthwork, concrete, bituminous paving, site improvements, and street or utility construction.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Applicable FDOT technical certifications or the ability to obtain them within six months.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
