Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

Location: New York, New York, based at the Empire State Building; approximately 90% travel to project and client sites throughout the NYC metropolitan area. Work from home is permitted up to one day per week.

Annual salary: $199,576–$213,816, plus a full benefits package.

What you will do

• Manage assigned construction projects through engineering design and construction phases under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design development and coordination across electrical, fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, building automation, life safety, and structural disciplines.
• Coordinate construction implementation, site logistics, quality assurance inspections, and compliance with applicable building and labor codes.
• Administer design and construction contracts, cost allocations, scope transfers, budgets, risks, and project cost-control analysis.
• Prepare total project cost forecasts and capital contribution planning with finance and stakeholder groups.
• Provide technical and program-impact advice for negotiations, disputes, claims, asset valuation, and operational asset turnover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• At least three years of experience in the position offered; one year may be satisfied with a master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Experience managing engineering design and construction projects, contracts, budgets, risks, and cost forecasts.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Recap, TrueView, Bluebeam, Oracle Contract Manager, Primavera P6, MS Project, MindManager, and IBM Cognos.
