Staff Application Engineer (PMIC)

Location: Chengdu, Sichuan, China; onsite work required

What you will do

• Define PMIC application methodologies and develop power IC hardware solutions.
• Evaluate and debug power ICs at chip and board level.
• Develop hardware, software, automated test scripts, and platforms for chip performance validation.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and collaborate with design engineering, FAE, and marketing teams.
• Conduct FA/RMA analysis, resolve technical issues, and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain datasheets, evaluation reports, application notes, design tools, training materials, and technical promotion content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in power electronics or a related field.
• Strong hardware design, development, debugging, and PCB layout optimization capabilities for power delivery networks.
• In-depth knowledge of PMIC architectures, including Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, LDO, and charger circuits.
• Proficiency with schematic design tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence, laboratory test equipment, and serial protocols including I2C and SPI.
• Python proficiency for independently developing automated test scripts and validation platforms.
• Fluent English communication and professional technical documentation skills in English are required.
