Certified Medical Assistant Sr.- Tyler (Oncology): Supporting physicians and clinicians with patient care, examinations, procedures, injections, clinical documentation, and oncology clinic operations with an accent on safe patient flow, treatment-room readiness, and accurate records. Focus on assisting with complex clinical workflows, maintaining disinfection protocols, coordinating patient communications, and supporting providers in a hematology/oncology environment.

Location: Tyler, Texas, United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; onsite support for the Tyler location.

What you will do

  • Escort patients between exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient information before visits.
  • Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, obtain patient records, and order supplies.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols and support patient flow in the oncology clinic.
  • Handle patient calls, prescription requests, scheduling updates, chart preparation, reception, filing, and other administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant training or certification, with certification preferred; state-specific certifications may be required.
  • For the senior level, at least five years of medical or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Current CPR certification required for the senior level; current BCLS certification is required within three months of hire for level 1.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Phlebotomy experience.
