What you will do
- Manage purchasing, purchase order fulfillment, and order status updates to support business demand.
- Track supplier backlogs, shipping information, delivery commitments, and post-purchase-order updates.
- Develop supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and provide quotes to the sales team.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, transportation, planning, sales, and customer operations teams to resolve delivery issues.
- Manage non-conforming, aging, and excess inventory, including product disposition, stock rotation, and liquidation activities.
- Support supplier management initiatives and process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically less than two years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Foundational knowledge of purchasing, logistics, supplier management, and relevant industry practices.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and develop solutions to defined tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with management and cross-functional department teams.
