TL;DR
Buyer II - (B2) - EPG (Semiconductor Equipment Procurement): Purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, and services for semiconductor equipment manufacturing in Tainan with an accent on supply continuity, supplier coordination, inventory control, and cost management. Focus on negotiating RFQs, resolving delivery and billing issues, managing demand changes, and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams.

What you will do

  • Ensure supply continuity by following up on orders, verifying deliveries, approving payments, and maintaining purchasing records.
  • Coordinate timely shipment of parts from suppliers to Applied factories and resolve shipping, receiving, and billing issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on demand and supply planning, including pull-ins and push-outs to meet MRP requirements.
  • Drive inventory and E&Z reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare and negotiate purchase orders and RFQs while balancing cost, quality, source reliability, and urgency.
  • Resolve supply issues with engineering, manufacturing, and program management stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1–2 years of related experience.
  • English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 750 or above, with the ability to communicate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of the semiconductor equipment industry’s key business drivers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for explaining complex information.

Nice to have

  • Experience with supplier price negotiations.
  • Experience with cost-reduction initiatives.
