Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Salary: $18–$24 per hour

What you will do

• Pick up, drop off, distribute, and ship samples and materials to designated laboratories and refineries.
• Log samples into the laboratory system, retain samples properly, and archive retain records.
• Prepare samples for transportation and coordinate courier services for hot-shot shipments.
• Receive, process, and distribute packages delivered by transportation couriers.
• Drive forklifts for loading and unloading shipments and maintain departmental company vehicles.
• Assist laboratory and operations personnel with retrieving samples and perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, reaching, and other physical activities.
• Data entry experience, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to read and understand labels and instructions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
